Harry ter Haar is a comedy writer and actor whose web series Barred has amassed over 3 million views across social media.

Barred is a comedy mockumentary, described by fans as "Silk meets The Thick of It" and "Peep Show for lawyers." It follows James Somerset—a deeply insecure barrister who sees himself as England’s answer to Tom Cruise but, in reality, is an absolute plonker. Lurching from one cringe-worthy disaster to the next, he’s on a relentless quest for validation—from his father, from the Bar, and from a profession that mostly thinks he’s a complete idiot.

With a deep love for character-driven indie comedy, Harry wrote, produced, and acted in over 75 sketches for Barred—all on a zero budget—bringing together a brilliant cast, including Shazia Mirza, Jordan Claire Robbins (Umbrella Academy), Caitlin O'Ryan (Outlander), and some of London’s best improv comedy talent, such as Jonathan Broke and Laura Risborough.
